The Cider Press (sleeps 14 or 16 guests)
The Cider Press forms the North West part of Eggesford Barton House and incorporates the original Georgian farmhouse. The large lounge to the front offers spectacular views over the Taw Valley, Eggesford Forest and open farmland to the front. The snug lounge and large kitchen/breakfast room offer a contrasting view over the garden courtyard.
Unique in character, The Cider Press presents a host of original features such as arched windows, oak beams, bread ovens, original fireplaces and quirky sloping floors. It has been elegantly furnished with the pretty Georgian rooms decorated in period style including iron framed beds and Chesterfield sofas in the snug lounge. The dining room, which was originally the main kitchen to Eggesford Barton House, features the original two fireplaces with bread ovens and a massive Georgian style dining table.
The Cider Press easily accommodates 14 guests in seven bedrooms and may be extended to accommodate 16 guests if booked with our studio annex the Beehive. The Beehive is ideal for two guests who would prefer their own space and private patio area a little away from the main party.
